Summer Season in Rajasthan
Summer season in Rajasthan starts in April and continues right up till June. This may not be
the best time to visit Rajasthan as the days are hot and humid with average temperatures
rising right up to an extreme of 45°C. It is not advisable to visit the Thar desert in this
season, as the weather is too humid and hot. If you want to escape the grueling summer heat,
the best place to visit in Rajasthan is the hill station Mount Abu where the weather is
always pleasant.
Monsoon Season in Rajasthan
The monsoon season in this beautiful state begins in July and continues right till
September. To enjoy the monsoon season to the fullest, one should head to the beautiful town
of Udaipur. This “Venice of the East” dawns a beautiful hue in this rainy season which can
be seen in the City Palace, Sajjangarh Fort aka Monsoon Palace, and Fateh Sagar Lake. This
is also a perfect time for couples to visit the Taj Lake Palace Hotel and enjoy the romantic
environment.
Winter Season in Rajasthan
The temperature starts to drop in October, which marks the beginning of winter. The winter
season in Rajasthan continues till mid-March and is considered to be the best season to
visit Rajasthan. If you are visiting Rajasthan in December, be prepared to face chilly days
and nights as the temperature can fall as low as 0°C. For the tourists who wish to attend
the Pushkar festival in November, the weather is much more enjoyable and cool. If you are
planning to visit Rajasthan in March, rest assured since the weather during this time is not
too cold and this is the perfect time for exploring the cities of Jaipur, Jaisalmer,
Jodhpur, and Bikaner.
